OGMBC EVENTS

On Sunday July 17th, the Hospitality Committee of Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church hosted a surprise “Appreciation Presentation” prior to the scheduled Worship Service. The Presentation, which was absent from the Sunday itinerary, was a surprise Birthday wish and gift giving to celebrate Pastor Charles E. Walton’s 74th Birthday and his decades of service to the Olive Grove Community.

In addition, the ceremony was designed to show appreciation for the unceasing dedication of Rev. Walton’s, family and members of the Olive Grove Hospitality Committee. The Hospitality Committee is staffed by Estes Davis, Patricia Hendrick, Harold Burgess, and LaVerne Gardner.  

Rev Walton, Mrs. Walton, and their children were also given t-shirts with a picture of Rev. and Mrs. Walton and his age. Lonnie Harrison was recognized for his support of Rev Walton. His gift was accepted by Patricia Hendrick, his daughter. LaVerne Gardner, OGMBC Treasurer’s  gift was for the support and the extra help she rendered to the hospitality committee, the pastor and the church.
