Welcome To Olive Grove
Welcome to Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Olive Grove has its humble beginning under an bush arbor as did so many African American churches in the newly freed South. It should be noted that Olive Grove is one of the oldest churches in America, with our origin dating back to 1887.
The Bible quote of Matthew 28: 18-21 serves as the brick and mortar of our Church. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..,” served then and now as our inspirational life-spring. These verses and the Holy Bible that it stands on has been the blue print in growing the loving, caring and supportive community known as Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Leader in The Community
Olive Grove has long been recognized as a leader in service to the Littleton, Warren county community. We have been particular supporters of the human rights and a strong voice in the civil rights and social justice movement.
Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church has had the honor to partner with both local government and regional health care organizations. We have been a reliable partner in providing critical services to our community. Seen on right are staff of the Vidant health care organization providing the much sought after Covid-19 test in the olive grove parking lot.
